Mr. Potichny holds a master’s degree in Engineering and an MBA, both from University of
Toronto.
Mr. Potichny is the President of Zhoda 2001 and the Director of Zhoda Investments whose
shares are traded in Sweden. Zhoda invests in select unlisted European ventures and has
projects related to oil and gas in Ukraine and wineries in Croatia. He has written several reports
and publications relating to oil sands and bitumen extraction processes.
In 2021, he was re-elected as President of the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce. CUCC
is a non-profit association involved in establishing and fostering Canada-Ukraine bilateral
business relations. The Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce is recognized by all levels of
government in Canada and Ukraine, by the business community in both countries, and by the
public in general as the facilitator agency of choice for establishing, maintaining, and monitoring
bilateral business relations, trade, and investment opportunities between Canada and Ukraine.
CUCC is the organizer of Rebuild Ukraine Business Conference in Toronto in 2022 and 2023 as
well as initiator of the Rebuild Ukraine Toolkit for Canadian Businesses.
In 2009, Zenon Potichny was awarded the Order of Merit, Class III, by the President of Ukraine.
Presently, Mr. Potichny also serves as VP of Operations for the Ukrainian World Congress and
as a Board member for the Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation of Canada
