Zagime Anishnabek Nation

Nathan Kaye is a member of Zagime Anishnabek Nation in Treaty 4 territory, and is a strong advocate for environment, sustainable living, and reconnecting with traditional Indigenous ideologies. He has worked with communities and organizations from Alberta to Ontario bringing environmental initiatives and projects to communities while inspiring Indigenous youth to play a role in being stewards of the land. Nathan has been a key part of a team creating space and programs for a growing network of 500+ Indigenous young people relating to clean energy and sustainability, successfully raising millions for capacity building programming and events through federal and corporate partnerships. He has been involved in a variety of projects including utility scale renewable energy projects as well as projects at the community level such as emergency response planning for flooding, forest fires, and drought threats while addressing food, water, housing and energy security. In his free time Nathan enjoys the outdoors, hunting, and traveling with an eye for the sky by skydiving in Dubai and training for hang gliding.
