Janelle Benson has been involved in the Pathway Alliance since April 2021 and officially took on the role of Director, Program Integration in mid-2022. The Pathways Alliance is an organization created by Canadas’s largest oil sands producers to advance responsible development of the industry, including addressing the critical challenge of climate change. Janelle has significant expertise in project management, governance and leadership considerations associated with energy development.

Janelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and has been certified as a project management and change management professional. Prior to joining the Pathways Alliance, Janelle was with Cenovus Energy, where she worked in various leadership roles in areas including corporate project management, acquisition integration and Information Technology. Janelle’s extensive industry experience saw her involved in the management of multiple large-scale initiatives in various energy and pipeline companies. Through her engagement at Pathways Alliance, Janelle is working to collaboratively address the issues facing the energy industry in Alberta
