2023 Strategic Program Speakers

Shannon was appointed Vice President Sustainability & External Affairs in April,
2022. Previously, she held the role of Director of External Affairs and
Communications with PETRONAS Canada where worked with all levels of
government, Indigenous communities, and the public. Her expertise is in leading
development and implementation of strategies, integrating risk management in
projects, developing and strengthening relationships with stakeholders, and
managing complex regulatory and Indigenous issues. Shannon has practiced
regulatory, environmental and Indigenous law for nearly two decades and joined
PETRONAS Canada in early 2020.
