Gregory Jack

Vice President, Strategic Communication and Research
Loyalist Public Affairs

Greg has spent over two decades in public affairs, government relations and communications roles across Canada, providing strategic insights and counsel to clients, elected officials, and senior executives in the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Loyalist Public Affairs, Greg served as Vice President, Public Affairs at Ipsos.  

At Ipsos, Greg designed and executed market research projects for national and international clients on government relations, corporate reputation, and customer satisfaction.  He led Ipsos’ Canadian public affairs energy practice and worked extensively with clients in the oil and gas sector. As a media spokesperson and commentator for Ipsos, Greg interpreted research results and voting intentions on multiple federal and provincial election campaigns in media interviews, on television panels and through written commentary. 

Greg was previously a communications executive with two levels of government, leading multi-disciplinary teams in events management, media relations, stakeholder engagement and speechwriting for the Government of Canada and the Government of Alberta.  He was a member of the 2011 Beyond the Border Working Group, which led to an historic agreement on perimeter security and economic competitiveness between Canada and the United States.

He was also previously part of Suncor Energy’s in-house Government Relations team, ensuring compliance with lobbying legislation and meeting with elected and senior officials on energy issues.  He led Suncor’s government relations response to the Alberta royalty review in 2015, and managed Suncor’s government relations risk registry.

Greg holds a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University, and a Bachelor of Arts in political studies and philosophy, also from Queen’s. He is currently completing a Master of Science in Energy Policy at the University of Sussex, part-time.  Born in Montreal, Quebec, he spent seven years in Alberta before returning to the Ottawa region in 2021, where he is currently based.
