Jelena is the Managing Director of Research Operations at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), a leading Canadian polytechnic.

Jelena believes in community-driven impacts that elevate individuals and the collective. She is an Energy Futures Lab Fellow, Co-chair of the Plastics Alliance of Alberta, Board President of a childcare society and an avid supporter of the Edmonton culinary and arts scenes.
