Claude Ghazar is the Director of Recovery Technologies & Methane Emissions Reduction programs for Alberta Innovates Clean Resources division. Claude is responsible for fostering relationships that align with Alberta’s targets on hydrocarbon innovation and GHG reduction leveraging public sector investments and grant programs.
He has a diverse background with 25 years of experience in various energy schemes. Claude’s experience has encompassed working in the natural resource sector (ConocoPhillips, ATCO), geothermal sector (DEEP), as a technology and reservoir engineering consultant as well as incubating various start-up schemes. He co-founded a strawberry vertical farming venture that sought to harvest waste heat from oil & gas operations which stems for his passion for realizing cross-industry solutions to support our elemental energy needs.
Claude holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
