Member of the Executive Board since September 2021, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Naftogaz Group.

Mavriky Kalugin was born in Nikolaevsk (Alaska, USA). He has 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry around the world, and has a range of professional experience in managing the production and service companies, greenfield development, and the optimization of oil and gas brownfield production.

Before joining National Joint Stock Company “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, Mavriky Kalugin worked for PJSC Ukrnafta for five years as an advisor to the Chairman of the Executive Board, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, and Executive Vice President for Production and Processing. The new approaches implemented by Mavriky Kalugin have helped Ukrnafta stabilize hydrocarbon production despite a limited investment program.

Mavriky Kalugin previously held senior positions at companies such as Petrofac, Cairn India, BP, TNK-BP, Occidental Petroleum, ConocoPhillips and ARCO. He graduated from the University of Idaho (USA) with a Chemical Engineering degree
