Caryna Pinheiro is an accomplished Information Technology executive and skilled senior leader known for building positive, high performing cultures, driving innovation, and delivering high value solutions while optimizing highly complex, enterprise-wide IT operations. As Assistant Vice President of Application & Digital Services and Assistant CIO at Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway (CPKC), Caryna leads a diverse and highly skilled team of over 350 IT professionals responsible for delivering CPKC’s digital transformations. This includes large-scale transformations delivering exponential impact through the merger of Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Railways. Key highlights include CPKC’s mobility strategies, the modernization of core operational systems, investments in SAP capabilities, and significant reduction in system’s downtime. She also servers as a Board Member at the ASUG (Americas’ SAP Users’ Group).

Caryna has over 25 years of experience including many years as a Consultant in the government, oil & gas, and banking industries. Throughout her career, she continuously demonstrates the depth and breadth of her skills along with her thoughtful and intentional leadership leading with a powerful Coach mindset to create positive culture change within her teams and organization.

Caryna holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a published author and speaker at the top Agile software engineering conferences in the areas of iterative delivery and IT process improvements.
