Dinara Millington is an energy economist and consultant with over 20 years of experience in Canadian and international energy markets, energy policy, decarbonization and sustainability. As Founder and CEO of 17Insight Inc., she advises government and industry on energy economics, market development, energy security, and emerging low-carbon technologies. Previously, as Vice President of Research at the Canadian Energy Research Institute, she led research projects within multidisciplinary teams, increased diversified funding, and communicated research outcomes to various internal and external stakeholders. Her recent work spans strategic energy storage, oil sands technology demonstration, and the development of carbon capture and storage and sustainable energy micro-credentials. Dinara serves as an Advisor to the Korea-Canada Centre for Sustainable Energy Security and Vice Chair of the Calgary Region Immigrant Employment Council’s Board of Directors. She holds an MA in Economics, specializing in energy economics, from the University of Calgary.
