Scott is currently VP and field CTO at Synopsys, connecting globally with customers to understand their digital engineering development needs and aligning methodologies Synopsys uses to support their transitions. Scott held several preceding CTO/COO roles at GE, BP, and Baker Hughes.
Scott has a broad leadership background in energy & industrial technologies, spanning multi-physics simulation, robotics, analytics, sensor development, asset health monitoring, AI/ML, additive manufacturing, computer vision, edge analytics, and other associated 5-IR technologies. He is a Trained Six Sigma Blackbelt and sits on Pennsylvania State University’s Nuclear Engineering Advisory Council.
Scott has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maine and a master’s in aerospace engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
