Sayeed Mahadi is an experienced sustainability and decarbonization leader with more than 15 years of multidisciplinary expertise spanning carbon accounting, sustainable agriculture, climate technology, nature-based solutions, and international development. Based in Calgary, Canada, he specializes in guiding organizations through complex climate, carbon, and sustainability challenges—bridging rigorous technical analysis with practical, action-oriented strategies.

Sayeed currently serves as a Senior Decarbonization Specialist at Terrascope, a global climate-tech SaaS platform where he advises clients in the land, nature, and net-zero economy sectors. His work focuses on corporate and product carbon footprinting, Scope 3 emissions, land-sector accounting, and the implementation of decarbonization strategies aligned with the latest GHG Protocol and emerging land-sector and removals guidance. He also contributes to platform enhancements, thought leadership, and client education through webinars and technical advisory.

Previously, Sayeed worked with organizations such as Viresco Solutions, Radicle Inc., OSL Retail Services Inc., Practical Action, and Renewable World. His earlier roles include sustainability consulting, carbon project development, renewable energy program management, and technical analysis for offset methodologies in both the public and private sectors. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively on regulatory frameworks including the GHG Protocol, SBTi (Net-Zero & FLAG), TCFD, IFRS S1/S2, CDP, EU CSRD, California SB 253/261, SEC climate disclosure, Alberta TIER, and Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations.

Sayeed holds a Master of Sustainability in Regenerative Sustainability from the University of Saskatchewan, a Master of Science in Renewable Energy Technology from the University of Dhaka, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). He also completed a summer course on Green Industry offered by UNIDO and CEU. In addition, he is trained in ISO 14064-1 & 2, sustainability reporting, and PMP coursework, and holds CQI & IRCA certifications in ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001. He has also earned certificates in Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Reporting (2020) and Sustainability Reporting (2024) from the School of Continuing Studies, University of Toronto.
