Behnaz is a seasoned chemical engineer (P.Eng.) acting as a sustainable energy development professional with a holistic focus on understanding and facilitating a transition to a clean energy future. Behnaz has more than two decades of experience working with oil producers, service companies and sustainable energy industries, incorporating a variety of environmentally sustainable methods for energy production. Her expertise in recent years is focused on GHG emission reduction initiatives and life cycle assessment (LCA) of clean energies. Behnaz is passionate about energy transition strategies, clean energy, heavy industries decarbonization and the efforts required to move the needle on environmental performance. She completed her BSc in Chemical Engineering from University of Tehran and also holds an MSc in Chemical & Petroleum Engineering (2006) and another one in Sustainable Energy Development (2021) both from University of Calgary. She also holds her Professional Engineer designation with APEGA.
