Claude Ghazar is the Executive Director of Advanced Hydrocarbons at Alberta Innovates’ Clean Energy division. He leads strategic initiatives that support Alberta’s goals for hydrocarbon innovation and GHG reductions, collaborating with industry, academia, and government.

A registered professional engineer, he has over 25 years of experience in upstream petroleum, exploration, asset development, and technology innovation. His expertise extends to consulting and startups, including geothermal and Ag-tech ventures.

Claude holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a member of APEGA and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
