John Streicker is a member of the Yukon Legislature, MLA for beautiful Mount Lorne - Southern Lakes. John is the Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources, the Yukon Energy and Development Corporations, Tourism and Culture, et aussi le ministre responsable de la Direction des services en français.

John is an Engineer specializing in climate change impacts in the Canadian North with a focus on sustainability for northern communities. He is a past lecturer and science advisor at Yukon University and the Yukon Research Centre. He wrote for Encyclopedia Britannica for a decade on the Arctic. John has also been heavily involved in recreation and active living, helping to run his local community centre.

John and his lovely wife Susan live along the headwaters of the Yukon River.
