Darlene was appointed as the President and Chief Executive Officer, and a Director in May 2024. Prior to her appointment, Darlene was MEG Energy’s Chief Operating Officer for three years, entrenching MEG’s operating priorities throughout the organization and driving an intense focus on health and safety. Darlene is an accomplished executive with more than 30 years of experience, including global leadership roles with Imperial Oil and ExxonMobil. Before joining MEG in 2021, she served as the President, ExxonMobil Alaska. A native Albertan, she holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Victoria.
