Stephanie Vetsch is the Director of North America for EAPOSYS, where she leads the company’s growth and innovation in deep geothermal energy technologies. With over 10 years of experience in process and project engineering across conventional and renewable energy sectors, she has driven advancements in decarbonization technologies, reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Stephanie holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary, is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta, and earned an MBA with a sustainability focus from IMD Switzerland, where she was honored with the Welsh Woman Award for her leadership, passion, and empathy in advancing meaningful change. Dedicated to sustainability and energy literacy, Stephanie works to raise awareness about renewable energy's potential and importance. As a public speaker, she champions sustainability, innovation, and authentic leadership. She is also a strong proponent of diversity and inclusion, having served as Treasurer on the board of Calgary Women in Energy (CWIE) and as an ambassador for the "Fast and Female" charity, encouraging young girls to stay engaged in sports. In addition to her professional achievements, Stephanie is a Nordic skiing coach and outdoor enthusiast, inspiring others to connect with nature. Passionate about energy balance calculations, she is excited to share the novel framework for evaluating the Energy Return on Investment (EROI) of Deep Geothermal Systems. By comparing the EAPOSYS AGS system with conventional geothermal and fossil fuel energy systems, the research highlights the long-term benefits, scalability, and reliability of geothermal technologies as net-zero energy solutions.
