Danielle Woroniuk is the Operations Manager at ATCO EnPower’s Heartland Energy Centre, where she leads the operations of some of Canada’s most innovative clean energy projects. Her portfolio includes the country’s first hydrogen locomotive fueling stations, a hydrogen-natural gas blending facility, cavern storage, water distribution, and Canada’s first initiative to store hydrogen in underground salt formations. Her leadership is actively shaping the infrastructure that will support Canada’s low-carbon future.

A graduate of the Power Engineering Technology program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Danielle has forged a trailblazing path throughout her career, as the first woman to hold her operational roles. She began her journey at Air Products and later transitioned into education as the Program Chair of the Power Engineering Technology Diploma Program at NAIT, where she mentored more than a thousand students and pioneered new approaches to teaching. Her contributions were nationally recognized with an award for Excellence in the Field of Power Engineering.

Danielle has also contributed to a research initiative that converted low-grade oil into low-sulphur marine fuel, aligning with evolving international emissions standards. She has served on both the Safety Codes Council and CSA, influencing the development of safety standards for pressure equipment across Canada.

Since joining ATCO in 2023, Danielle has been at the forefront of clean fuels innovation, playing a key role in launching and scaling hydrogen fuel operations. A passionate advocate for gender equity in industry, she continues to champion diversity and mentor emerging talent in traditionally male-dominated fields.
