Dania is a seasoned finance and technology professional with a passion for fostering innovation and driving meaningful impact in the Calgary Tech Community. Currently as VP at RBCx Banking, she has built a reputation as a trusted strategic advisor, bringing immense value to both clients and internal teams. Her ability to connect people and ideas has positioned her as a leader in Alberta’s innovation ecosystem, with deep involvement in organizations like Startup TNT, Avatar Innovations, and Platform Calgary.

Dania’s expertise extends beyond banking—she has a strong background in financial services, SaaS-based technology solutions, and capital markets. Before joining RBCx in 2022, she spent seven years in the financial industry, including two years in capital markets, where she specialized in portfolio analysis, commodity reporting, and market analysis. She also worked at a global tech company, helping scale a SaaS-based human capital management solution through business development and strategic initiatives.

A dedicated mentor and ecosystem builder, Dania actively supports emerging entrepreneurs, she served as a mentor for Avatar Innovations' Ignite cohort during 2023 and joined the 2024 cohort during the Ignite and Studio phases, helping her team win the best pitch award for a carbon capture technology.

Additionally, Dania serves as a Board of Director for the CFA Society Calgary and has been co-leading their mentorship program since 2024. She has also contributed her time as a judge for pitch competitions such as RBC’s Quick Pitch, the Haskayne Fast Pitch Competition, Innovate Calgary’s BIPOC Women in Tech Pitch Competition, and Inventures.

Dania’s leadership and contributions have been widely recognized, earning her multiple leadership awards at RBCx. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and is a CFA charter holder.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Dania plays basketball, badminton and poker and she loves spending time in nature. She is often found hiking in the summer or going for long city walks by the river.
