How to Submit an Abstract

Technical talk presentations for Energy Influencers are selected from proposals submitted to the Energy Influencers Committee. Early submission is strongly encouraged to allow committee members sufficient time to review proposals. Late submissions will not be accepted.

STEP 1. REVIEW TECHNICAL CATEGORIES

Review the three available categories to determine which best describes your proposal. A primary category selection is required. Presentation proposals are evaluated based on the information provided in the online submission form, using the following criteria:

  • The proposed presentation should contribute to technology or be of immediate interest to the energy industry, providing significant new knowledge or experience.
  • The presentation should avoid undue commercialism and excessive use of trade names.

STEP 2. SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT

All submissions must be submitted electronically through the online submission form by December 5, 2025.

Enter a title that is short and concise (maximum 10 words) while clearly describing the primary content and application of the proposed presentation. Energy Influencers maintains a strict policy against the use of commercial trade names, company names, or commercial language in titles, text, or slides. Such use will be carefully reviewed by the technical committee, and presentations or posters containing commercial content may be removed from the final technical program.

A proper review of your abstract requires sufficient information to make a judgment. Written in English and limited to 450 words, abstracts should include the following:

  • Objectives/Scope: List the objectives and/or scope of the proposed presentation.
  • Methods, Procedures, Process: Briefly describe your overall approach, including methods, procedures, and processes.
  • Results, Observations, Conclusions: Summarize the results, observations, and conclusions of your work.
  • Novel/Additive Information: Explain how the presentation provides new or additive information to the existing literature, benefiting the hydrogen industry and advancing the state of knowledge.

Prior to submission, management clearance must be obtained. Any issues concerning clearance (visa requirements, travel restrictions, lengthy approvals, budget constraints, etc.) should be outlined when submitting the abstract.

STEP 3: SCORING PROCESS

·         After abstracts are submitted, the Energy Influencers Committee will review all submissions received by December 5, 2025. Reviews will be conducted according to pre-established criteria provided to the committee.

·         All submitters will be notified by email of the status of their submission by January 23, 2026, using the main contact person listed in the online submission form.

STEP 4: GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTED ABSTRACTS

Only the information requested in the online form is required at this time. Detailed instructions on presentation guidelines, criteria, and requirements will be provided to each accepted presenter.

If accepted, only a PowerPoint presentation must be submitted by May 22, 2026. A full technical paper is optional and not required for this event.

  • Accepted speakers must purchase a discounted three-day Energy Influencers conference pass to present. A full three-day pass includes access to the exhibition, all Energy Influencers sessions, networking receptions, lunches, and refreshment breaks.
  • Accepted speakers are required to publish a public version of their presentation materials in the online library. Either a public version of the PowerPoint or a full technical paper is acceptable.
