Energy Influencers Oil & GasAs the world grapples with the effects of climate change, increasing attention is being paid to the sources of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions which are the main culprits of ozone layer depletion responsible for global warming and its resultant climate consequences. Carbon di-oxide (CO2) is the most consequential GHG responsible for about three-quarters of emissions and notorious for the length of time it lingers in the atmosphere once released – thousands of years. A lot of research has gone into understanding CO2, including methods to reduce its prevalence like Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS), Direct Air Carbon Capture (DACC), and others.
