Stan Pence is Trade Commissioner for the Energy and Natural Resource sectors at the Canadian Consulate General in Denver. His focus is on building international business connections between Canadian and US partners in the Rocky Mountain states, particularly in new technology development in mining and oil and gas.  Prior to joining the Canadian government, Stan worked for Xcel Energy in Denver in corporate finance.  He has a background in financial trading, having spent a decade in New York at a number of Wall Street firms in the fixed-income sector. Stan has an MBA in finance from Boston University, and a BS in Economics and French from the University of California at Berkeley. He also attended the École des Hautes Études Commerciales in Paris, a leading French business school.
