Disruptive Digital Innovator Award

The Disruptive Digital Innovator Award recognizes novel digital technologies advancing the energy industry. Eligible technologies should be in early production, full production, or commercial postpilot stages and be less than five years old. Technologies leveraging AI, machine learning, and datacentre innovation are strongly encouraged, especially those positioned as true game changers with the potential to transform efficiency, optimization, and digital resilience. Nominees in this category will be recognized for their potential to reshape industry norms, improve efficiency, and contribute to a more sustainable and resilient energy ecosystem.

Questions for Submitters:

  • Clear explanation of technology that can be used for marketing purposes. This MUST be public ready as it will be used to promote your submission on the website.

Emerging Clean Technologies Award

The Emerging Clean Technologies Award is focused on innovative technologies or processes that improve environmental performance or decrease cost of production in the energy industry through significant energy efficiency improvements, the sustainable use of resources, or environmental protection activities. (Note: Carbon Credits will not be considered). Technologies in this category are in the post pilot, proven category that have positive impact on the environment (TRL 6-7). Nominees in this category are recognized as innovators driving transformative change, setting new standards for environmental responsibility, and shaping a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

Questions for Submitters:

  • Clear explanation of project/technology that can be used for marketing purposes. This MUST be public ready as it will be used to promote your submission on the website.
  • How is your project/technology new or relevant to the energy sector? Please provide sufficient technical detail that people in your industry can appreciate the significant and not just spec or features.

The Emerging Leader Award acknowledges an up-and-coming individual whose efforts have already made a significant contribution to their organization, industry or community that go above and beyond their normal day to day duties. The nominee should stand out in terms of strategic thinking, leadership, community involvement and the pursuit of excellence in their field. The nominees in this category will have been in the energy industry for 10 or less years. Self-nominations are permitted in this category.

Recognizing contributions across all forms of energy, this award highlights the critical role academic research and applied research plays in fostering innovation and providing real-world solutions. It acknowledges the visionary thinkers and teams whose work is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, paving the way for a cleaner, more efficient, and resilient energy future.

Questions for Submitters:

This category also acknowledges projects, products, or services specific to controls that make a positive impact to the industry. All technologies in this category should be at either: initial production and rollout, full production mode, or commercial (post pilot). If the underlying solution is digital, it should be submitted under the Digital Innovator Award category.

Awardees will demonstrate a measurable reduction in methane emissions, fostering cleaner air and advancing efforts to meet global climate targets. Nominees in this category will be recognized for their innovative technologies, strategies, and practices that effectively mitigate methane leaks and emissions, making a significant contribution to environmental sustainability and the fight against climate change.

The Powering the Future Award recognizes companies that exemplify innovation, leadership, and commitment to advancing economically and environmentally sustainable power generation. This category celebrates organizations developing cutting-edge technologies and solutions that drive the energy transition while ensuring reliability, efficiency, and a low-carbon future. Nominees in this category will demonstrate a commitment to integrating sustainability into power generation, showcasing advancements that deliver measurable environmental and economic impact.

Eligible solutions include, but are not limited to:
