MEET THE COMMITTEE - ALI TELMADARREIE

The GPS Technical Call for Abstracts deadline is nearly two weeks away! We encourage that all technical professionals submit their abstract to present in front of a global audience, take part in discussions and network with the best in the industry.

This week we caught up with Ali Telmadarreie, Co-Founder and CEO of CNERGREEN about why he started working in energy, what trends he’s noticing globally and what abstracts he'll be reviewing.

Specialty: (what abstracts will you be reviewing?)

I will be reviewing abstracts in areas of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) specially EOR with nanoparticles, solvents, CO2 foam, emulsion, and chemicals.

What are some projects you’ve worked on?

My projects focus on the integration of advanced material science with classical reservoir engineering to create novel solutions for long-standing challenges for recovering hydrocarbon and increase the efficiency and sustainability of energy production. I work on the design and implementation of complex fluids (i.e. foam, emulsion) and nanomaterials for underground applications such as CO2 foam EOR and CO2 sequestration.

What trends are you noticing in global energy?

The transition towards more renewable energy and diversified supplies of energy is global trend. However, the efficient production of current energy resources is also attractive and essential.

What attracted you to working in energy?

To answer this question, I should go back to my high school years where I became interested in petroleum engineering. The science of the underground was something mysterious and attractive. Long story short, I received my B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in petroleum engineering and know I am focusing on more efficient production of our natural resource with minimum impact on the environment.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I’m in love with nature - I love to go camping and fishing.
