In response to the Alberta Government announcement of a State of Public Health Emergency, and in line with our commitment to your safety, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Global Energy Show 2021.

We know how important this show is to our global energy community, and we did not take this decision lightly. Planning is underway for 2022 with themes and ideas to continue our mission of shaping the future of energy at North America's most important energy event.

The 2022 Global Energy Show will take place June 7-9, 2022 at the BMO Centre, Calgary Stampede.

To our loyal exhibitors, delegates and attendees from around the world, rest assured your bookings will be transferred to 2022. Please keep an eye on your inbox for full details.

The GPS Technical Conference is accepting abstracts until Friday, December 13. As the abstracts are coming in, we connected with 2019 Technical Speaker Ned Davis to talk about his experience in 2019.

Davis’ presentation was Magnetic Actuation Mechanisms to Eliminate Valve Leaks and Reduce Fugitive Emissions.

GPS: What was your experience working with dmg events?

ND: Fantastic!  The DMG team was so very supportive and helpful – I can imagine kinder, more engaged, or helpful group of people to work with – They bent over backwards to make the event a smashing success!

GPS: How did you find out about the GPS Technical Conference?

ND: I first found out about the Global Petroleum Show from a friend in Alberta who did a lot of work on oilfield equipment and described to me this fantastic show – And wow was he ever correct – This was one of the most impressive events that I have ever attended!  And the combination of the conference and poster session too gave us a very unique opportunity to participate and interact with much larger entities from the show whose attention we might not otherwise be able to capture.

GPS: What encouraged you submit your abstract?

ND: The DMG team and especially Dusan encouraged us to submit our abstract and helped us every step of the way from initial submission through the selection process, slides, speaking and poster sessions.  Couldn’t ask for a more helpful and gracious group of people!

GPS:  Did you have anyone reach out to you regarding your presentation?

ND: Yes, we have had so much positive feedback and interaction both from the speech and the poster session.  For example, some of the largest valve companies and the world have begun working with us on prototypes and testing.  This opportunity has really jumpstarted the acceptance of our technology in the industry.
