The Outdoor Zone is the ideal location to activate in a high impact and high traffic area. With a new home in Lot 10 and Lot 11, we are thrilled to be the feature entry point of the show. We encourage exhibitors to plan for all elements of their booth in the outdoor area including renting a tent, planning engaging giveaways, food and beverage and entertainment.

Things to Know about Bringing your Own Tent
If you plan to set up your own tent or use a third party there are a few more factors to consider:
- Each booth must complete an Outdoor Tent Permit form
- Provide pre-payment of tent peg repair fees along with the non-negotiable $250 tent permit fee to Event Management
- Provide Event Management a structural print of the tent or structure
- On-site, you must provide an engineer stamped print stating the structure has been erected according to manufacturer’s/consultants specifications. This is required once the structure has been erected on site. This print must be presented to the Show Office located in the BMO Centre Building during move-in or emailed directly to Event Management
City of Calgary Building Permits are required for all tents
According to the City of Calgary, the installation of a temporary structure or tent on Stampede Park is required for all tents 10x10 or above and requires a City of Calgary Building Permit. Any structure supplied by a trusted tent supplier will be pre-approved for the building permit.
An Important Reminder about Tent Peg Stakes
Under no circumstances are tent peg stakes allowed in the ground without prior approval from event management. Any and all damages caused by the tent is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. This can cause a significant hazard to the entire event.
