Duncan is a Fellow of Chartered Professional Accountants and Chartered Financial Analyst with over 30 years of corporate finance and energy services experience. In addition to his role at CWC, Duncan is President & CEO of JAFETICA Capital Inc., a private equity and corporate finance consulting practice that specializes in energy service opportunities. In 2005, Duncan was President & CEO of his own private energy service company, Richmound Energy Services L.P., which was sold to a public company that later became Essential Energy Services Ltd. ("Essential"). From 2006 to 2008, Duncan took on the role of Vice President, Business Development and Chief Financial Officer of Essential and helped build this public company from an enterprise value of zero to $410 million before departing. From 1998 to 2004, Duncan held Vice President & Director positions in corporate finance with both Deloitte and Ernst & Young where he led financings and mergers and acquisitions in the energy services industry. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors ("CAODC"), Petroleum Services Association of Canada ("PSAC") and was on the Board of Governors for the Canadian Energy Executive Association. He was the Chairman of the 2018 PSAC STARS & Spurs Gala Committee, an industry fundraiser in support of STARS air ambulance. Duncan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta.

Ryan is a Managing Director at Deloitte Corporate Finance Inc. Based in Vancouver BC, he leads the Western Canada Capital Advisory practice. Ryan provides independent advice on financing options and the sourcing of senior debt, junior debt and equity capital for private and public companies. He also offers issuers independent, market-based assistance in negotiations with capital providers.

Mr. Tonken is the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Birchcliff. He has more than 36 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry and is one of the Corporation’s founders. Prior to creating Birchcliff, Mr. Tonken founded and served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Case Resources Inc., Big Bear Exploration Ltd. and Stampeder Exploration Ltd. Mr. Tonken was previously a Partner of the law firm Howard, Mackie (now Borden Ladner Gervais LLP). Mr. Tonken is the current Chair of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP). Mr. Tonken received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Wales.

David Yager is semi-retired oil service executive and entrepreneur. Since 1970 he has worked in multiple oil service sector segments and from 1987 to 2012 was a founder, senior office and director of three successful publicly traded oil service companies listed on the TSX.

Through Yager Management Ltd., he currently consults as an executive finance and management advisor to oil service companies as well as presenting upstream oil and gas industry overviews and trends to companies, boards, industry associations and other organizations. He was National Leader Oil Services for MNP LLP from 2012 to 2016. He is currently President and CEO of Winterhawk Well Abandonment Ltd., a wellbore methane mitigation technology company.

David Yager has been active in business journalism and energy policy analysis since 1979. He has authored numerous energy policy position papers for oil service trade association. He is regular commentator about the industry in newspapers, magazines, TV and radio.

David Yager’s first book - From Miracle to Menace – Alberta, A Carbon Story – was released in April of 2019. The book analyzes how climate change, carbon politics and global energy demand have impacted the province and the future of Alberta’s – and Canada’s – most important resource industry.
