Dr. Raynie Wood

Dr. Raynie Wood has more than 20 years’ experience in post-secondary education. As Dean with the School for Advanced Digital Technology (SADT), she leads a team committed to preparing SAIT graduates to be the talent of choice as they enter a borderless global economy. With a focus on advancing Alberta’s economic diversification, SADT offers a range of programs in technology and media including data analytics, IT services and software development, security, interactive design, film production and broadcast.

Over her professional career, Dr. Wood has held a range of roles from Faculty Lead to Associate Director, International Projects. She’s worked in a variety of sectors, from health and energy to technology and media, even piloting program delivery at an offshore international campus.

After earning a Master’s in Education from the University of Calgary specializing in Adult, Community and Higher Education, Dr. Wood went on to complete a PhD in Education and Human Resource Studies, specializing in Community College Leadership with a focus on international branch campuses.

Additionally, Dr. Wood sits on a number of external boards and chairs quality audits for the Ontario Quality Assurance Association.
