Tair Ibatullin is a Technology Lead with Suncor Energy in Calgary. In his current role, Tair is responsible for leading technology development projects in Suncor’s strategic in-situ technology portfolio. Before joining Suncor, he worked in various reservoir, exploitation and production engineering roles with Statoil, Shell and CNRL in Canada and in Norway. His areas of expertise include onshore and offshore field development planning, reservoir engineering and simulation, thermal and solvent-based methods of bitumen production, EOR/IOR, technology development and piloting. Tair has PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering. He is an active member of SPE and is a Professional Engineer, registered in the province of Alberta.
