2023 Awards Judging Panel

Nannette Ho-Covernton is a 1987 graduate from the University of Calgary’s Schulich School of Engineering and joined Spartan Controls in 1995 after spending several years in the Engineering Community.

Spartan Controls is a Western Canadian, employee-owned company with nearly six decades of experience spanning multiple industries with a core focus on ‘creating a sustainable modern world with Innovative Automation.’

Nan’s current role as the Sustainability Leader includes being Spartan’s liaison to industry, education, innovation, and environmental communities.  Her work lately has been centered on advancing innovation in the clean energy technology, and conversations regarding policy and sustainable supply chain.

With many special interests, Nan has a particular affinity to volunteering - currently serving as an Advisor for the University of Calgary’s Schulich School of Engineering’s WiSE Planet Program, the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business’ Business Leaders Award Selection Committee, the SPE CET 2023 conference leading ESG/Sustainability track, coaching teams through Avatar Innovations and with the Clean Resource Innovation Network as Co-Lead for the Digital Oil & Gas Theme and a member of the Water Theme.
