2022 Strategic Program Speakers

Cory Hughes joined the Government of Saskatchewan over 20 years ago, working primarily in the resource sector. Cory has been in his current role as the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Resource Development Division at the Ministry of Energy and Resources since December 2019. The Division is responsible for the Saskatchewan Geological Survey, oil and gas, mining and forestry development. Prior to his current role, Cory was the Executive Director of the Mineral Policy area, managing royalties, taxation and investment attraction for the mining and exploration sector. Cory holds a Bachelor of Science in physical geography, a master’s degree in business administration and has a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
