2022 Strategic Program Speakers

With over 25 years in the Canadian nuclear power industry, Chris brings a wide range of experiences in the development, deployment and operation of nuclear facilities. His current role at OPG encompasses many of these elements, managing OPG’s engagements with customers related to the deployment of SMR’s and developing peer utility relationships between OPG and other nuclear utilities within Canada and globally. Chris worked as a member of the Generation mPower team for the advancement of then B&W’s mPower SMR design for deployment into Canada as well as leading Hitachi’s business development activities in the Canadian nuclear market. With a Master Degree in Nuclear Chemical engineering, Chris joined AECL as a design engineer for the CANDU product line which led to increasing roles of responsibility as part of the restart efforts of nuclear reactors at both Pickering and Bruce Power. Chris has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries.
