Colleen Potter

Colleen Potter is a Senior Consultant with Canadian Strategy Group, providing public affairs services including government relations, integrated corporate affairs management, strategic communications, and corporate campaign management. Colleen has a passion for helping people understand what matters, and why, with over 15 years’ experience in industry, non-profit, and political environments. Her specialty is bridging the gap between strategic planning and tactical execution.

Born and raised in Calgary, she started her career in provincial politics before working in oil and gas. In 2008 she moved to Vancouver to work on the 2010 Olympics. While there she became involved with non-profits focused on serving vulnerable populations, helping build their capacity for community outreach and engagement. In this area she has worked in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and for Inn from the Cold and the City of Calgary.

In 2015 Colleen returned to politics, working for her local Member of Parliament. She has spent the last 4 years in the Canadian energy sector working on the largest pro-industry network managed advocacy campaign in Canada.

Colleen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from the University of Calgary.  She is also a classically trained singer, and a member of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus.
